2025-2026 Seasonal Equipment Operators:

This position offers a competitive wage and is based on a 40-hour work week. Successful applicants must be able to work the day or afternoon shift and be available for weekends as needed. This position requires applicants to work from November 17, 2025, to April 2, 2026. The preferred candidate will have:
• A valid DZ driver’s license (AZ preferred)
• Experience in the operation of dump trucks with snowplow/sander combination
• Experience in the operation of graders with snowplow attachments
• Able to respond to emergency callouts within a reasonable time
• Experience in road maintenance and construction
• Strong teamwork skills
• Knowledge of applicable Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
The starting wage for this position is $30.23/hr.

 Job Description- 2025-2026 Seasonal Equipment Operator
 


Seasonal Weekend Patroller:

The preferred candidate will have a valid “G” or “DZ” driver’s license and must be able to work flexible hours on weekends and holidays between November 29, 2025 and March 29, 2026.  This position requires the ability to:
• Provide road patrolling for the purpose of establishing and reporting the condition of the travelled road, structure or incident
• Initiate action and/or perform activity to remedy or mitigate the circumstance found
• Provide snow and ice control (SNIC), maintenance and repair services to road allowances for the safety and convenience of the travelling public
The wage for this position is $26.03/hr.

Job Description- Seasonal Weekend Patroller


North Dufferin Community Centre (Honeywood Arena)
Part-Time Seasonal Arena Attendants

Reporting to the Public Works Foreperson, this position requires the ability to operate and maintain various types of equipment, as well as manual labour. The successful applicant must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends. The preferred candidate will have:
• Valid G Driver’s Licence
• Ability to safely operate and maintain ice resurfacing machine
• Ability to use hand tools
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Basic Arena Refrigeration certification, an asset
• Propane Handlers certification is an asset
• Knowledge of applicable Health & Safety Policies & Procedures 
• Vulnerable sector police clearance must be obtained before the start date

 Job Description- Part-Time Seasonal Arena Attendants


North Dufferin Community Centre (Honeywood Arena)
Part-Time Seasonal Junior Arena Attendant (October 2025 to April 2026)

Reporting to the Public Works Foreperson, this position involves assisting the Arena Attendants with the daily operation of the arena. Responsibilities Include:
• Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen, bar area, Norduff room, dressing rooms, public areas, and washrooms.
• Sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, and general upkeep of facility areas, including stands and lobby.
• Ensuring good communication with user groups and other staff to fulfill rental commitments.
• Performing general maintenance tasks as directed by the Public Works Foreperson.
• Collecting and remitting funds, issuing receipts as required.

The successful applicant must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends. The preferred candidate will have:
• Ability to use hand tools
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Knowledge of applicable Health & Safety Policies & Procedures 
• Vulnerable sector police clearance must be obtained before the start date

Paid per Call Volunteer Firefighters

Mulmur-Melancthon Fire Department is recruiting Paid per Call Firefighters

The Mulmur-Melancthon Fire Department is a rural Volunteer Fire Department operating out of the hamlet of Honeywood in Mulmur, Ontario servicing approximately 800 households with approximately 27 active volunteer firefighters.

Reporting to the Volunteer Fire Chief and the Volunteer Deputy Fire Chief as a Volunteer Firefighter you must:

  • Be a minimum 18 years of age
  • Reside or work near the Fire Station located at 706166 County Rd 21, Honeywood
  • Have a Grade 12 diploma or the education equivalent
  • Be able to communicate clearly and understand both orally and in written English
  • Hold a G class driver’s license and ability to obtain DZ license
  • Be physically fit to perform the duties of a firefighter
  • Be in good health and be capable of handling intense sustained physical effort
  • Previous fire and medical training an asset but not required
  • Must provide clean drivers abstract prior to job offer
  • Applicants with daytime/midweek availability for emergency calls will be considered an asset
  • Vulnerable sector criminal record check must be provided prior to employment offer
