One (1) ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT SUMMER STUDENT
The Township of Mulmur invites applications for the position of General Labourer summer student. To qualify for summer student employment with the Township of Mulmur, you must be:
- be between the ages of 18 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform general administrative tasks Perform general office duties including typing, filing correspondence, photocopying, scanning, labelling, customer service, etc.
- Assist with Mulmur’s 175th Birthday events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Enrollment or completion of a university or college diploma in a applicable field.
- Requires light to moderate lifting
Knowledge & Skills
- Highly organised, motivated self-starter with strong time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with the Ontario Municipal Records Management System (TOMRMS) would be an asset.

2 (TWO) GENERAL LABOURER SUMMER STUDENTS (May 4th until August 21st, 2026)

- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
Reporting to the Public Works Foreperson, the successful candidate will be assisting the Public Works Department with road construction and maintenance functions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Traffic control
- Sign maintenance, grass cutting and painting
- Operating weed eaters, lawn mower and other small tools
- Daily maintenance and cleaning duties at Township facilities
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Must have and maintain a valid “G” Ontario Driver’s Licence
- Requires light to moderate lifting
- Possess C.S.A. approved safety footwear
- May be required to work overtime and unusual work hours to handle regular road maintenance and emergencies. Including supporting the on-call schedule.

- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Self-motivated
- Willing to work overtime as required

Paid per Call Volunteer Firefighters
Mulmur-Melancthon Fire Department is recruiting Paid per Call Firefighters
The Mulmur-Melancthon Fire Department is a rural Volunteer Fire Department operating out of the hamlet of Honeywood in Mulmur, Ontario servicing approximately 800 households with approximately 27 active volunteer firefighters.
Reporting to the Volunteer Fire Chief and the Volunteer Deputy Fire Chief as a Volunteer Firefighter you must:
- Be a minimum 18 years of age
- Reside or work near the Fire Station located at 706166 County Rd 21, Honeywood
- Have a Grade 12 diploma or the education equivalent
- Be able to communicate clearly and understand both orally and in written English
- Hold a G class driver’s license and ability to obtain DZ license
- Be physically fit to perform the duties of a firefighter
- Be in good health and be capable of handling intense sustained physical effort
- Previous fire and medical training an asset but not required
- Must provide clean drivers abstract prior to job offer
- Applicants with daytime/midweek availability for emergency calls will be considered an asset
- Vulnerable sector criminal record check must be provided prior to employment offer
