Bruce Trail Conservancy

The Bruce Trail Conservancy is one of Ontario’s largest land trusts and the caretaker of Canada’s longest marked footpath.

They protect, restore, and manage lands along the Niagara Escarpment UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, safeguarding its ecosystems for the benefit of all. These natural spaces are made accessible for exploration on foot through the Bruce Trail and the Conservancy’s protected areas, and remain dedicated to preserving the land that surrounds them.

Bruce Trail Conservancy encourages and relies on the commitment to excellence shown by our members, volunteers, donors, and staff, and embraces responsibility for the careful stewardship of the Bruce Trail, ensuring its protection and enjoyment for current and future generations. Bruce Trail Conservancy collaborates closely with landowners, funders, partners, and our dedicated volunteer community, sharing leading scientific and business practices to strengthen collective impact. Bruce Trail Conservancy demonstrate respect for every individual and group, honours our special relationships with landowners, and acknowledges the traditional homelands of the Indigenous peoples of the Escarpment.
