Join us for a cozy afternoon of books, conversation and connection!

In celebration of Ontario Public Library Week, Shelburne Public Library and author Alex Lam will join us for an engaging discussion on longevity and personal wellness.

Alex Lam, former General Manager of Bell Canada and author of Long Life and Divine Musings, has spent a lifetime leading, learning and exploring how we can not only live longer, but also add more life and meaning to our years.

At 82, Alex brings both personal experience and research to the conversation, sharing practical insights on longevity, health span and purpose.

What to Expect

  • Book Swap – Bring 1–3 books you’ve enjoyed and are ready to pass along.
  • Author Conversation – Hear from Alex Lam and participate in an engaging discussion on longevity and personal wellness.
  • Blind Date with a Book – Discover a new read through a surprise book selection.
  • Light Refreshments – Enjoy tea, coffee and light refreshments while connecting with fellow book lovers.

This event is part of the Connect, Learn & Thrive Senior Programming Series, made possible through the Seniors Community Grant Program.
