Half Load Restrictions - Now in Effect

Starting Sunday March 1, 2026 - reduced load restrictions are now in effect on Mulmur Township and Dufferin County roads. The reduced load restrictions will remain in effect until further notice. During this time, there is a restriction of 5 metric tonnes per axle. 

Reduced load restrictions help protect roads during the spring thaw when road damage is most likely to occur.  We ask all road users to adhere to the reduced load restrictions to help protect its roads. 

Please be advised that the reduced-load period for ALL roads with the Township of Mulmur.

During seasonal load restrictions, a Half Load Exemption allows approved vehicles to carry heavier loads than normally permitted. This exemption helps protect roads during vulnerable periods while accommodating essential transportation needs. Applications must demonstrate necessity and meet township requirements.
