Let's plant some trees that will benefit the Pine River for generations to come!

Come out to Mansfield to help improve the Pine River! We will be planting native trees and shrubs to shade the river and improve wildlife habitat close to the Mansfield Ski Club.

Individuals, families and community groups are welcome!  Register Here

What to expect

  • An orientation and tree planting tutorial
  • This event will take place rain or shine but will be rescheduled if there is extreme weather.

Remember to Bring

  • Closed toed shoes/rubber boots (SPRING IS MUDDY!)
  • Dress for the weather (jacket, rain coat, hat, etc)
  • Sunscreen/bug spray
  • Water, Lunch, Snack
  • Gardening gloves if you have them (extras are available)

Be Tick Aware

  • Wear light-coloured clothing to make ticks easier to spot.
  • Wear long-sleeve shirts, pants, and closed-toe footwear. Tuck your shirt into your pants and tuck your pants into your socks. This can help prevent ticks from crawling onto your skin where they can feed.
  • Permethrin-treated clothing may provide protection against ticks and mosquitoes.

  • Remember to bring your community service volunteer form!

Where to Meet:

937341 Airport Road, Dufferin County Rd 18, Township of Mulmur. Please follow signs and park along side the Christmas Tree field.

No bathroom available on site. There are restrooms at the Mansfield Outdoor Center, approximately 20min walk or 1min drive from site.
