Second Dwellings

The Township has initiated a study of opportunities for a variety of types of second dwelling units.  The Township passed By-law 13-2017, which is a site plan control by-law, which would allow new second dwelling units to be considered through the site plan control process.  The Township is working towards a by-law that would permit a larger range of housing types in different parts of the Township. The Township has also developed a process to deal with illegal second dwelling units. Additional information is anticipated in May 2017, and may be included in a July tax mailing.
